FSMTC Announces the completion of the Hantru-1 upgrade
Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia and Allen, Texas – 21 September 2021 - FSM Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC) announced today that Xtera, Inc., a provider of innovative subsea fiber optic solutions, has completed the Hantru-1 upgrade. FSMTC is the premium telecommunications service provider for Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap in the Federated States of Micronesia. Completion of the Hantru-1 Submarine Cable System upgrade between Pohnpei and Guam enables FSMTC to meet the growing demand for broadband services in the region.

It is with great sadness to announce that John D. Sohl, former Chief Executive Officer and President of FSM Telecommunications Corporation, has passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at his home in Nankewi Sokehs.

FSMTC Donates to Pohnpei State 2020 Christmas Drive
Kolonia, Pohnpei - On Thursday, November 26, 2020, FSM Telecom donated buckets filled with basic toiletries such as soap, toothpaste, shampoo, towels and other necessities as well as mats to the Pohnpei State Government. FSMTC answered a request seeking support for a Christmas drive to raise donations for patients at the Pohnpei State Hospital, inmates at the State Jail and disabled people in need.
